SCARBOROUGH’S West Pier will host the Seafest food theatre from 3.30pm on Saturday – as part a programme of cookery and music.
There will be a Yorkshire Coast College Ready Steady Cook-off competition, with students battling it out in a fish frenzy, using local ingredients to produce the best that Scarborough has to offer.
Under tutor Rob Clark, the students reached the final of Young’s Seafood Chef of the Year.
The winner will get a day in the kitchen alongside renowned Green’s Restaurant with chef Rob Green, of Whitby.
The fish for the competition is being supplied by Whitby Seafish, with Matthew Asquith from the company also doing some demonstrations over the course of the weekend’s Seafest event.
