PUPILS at Cayton school showed their artistic flair designing poster for bonfire night.

Cayton school children were once again asked to design posters for the village’s bonfire and fireworks display, which is sponsored by McCain Foods.

The competition was judged by chairman of Cayton Parish Council Roberta Swires, who said: “The standard of work this year is exceptionally high and I had a very difficult job judging the children’s posters.”

The brightly coloured posters will be displayed around Cayton, Osgodby and Eastfield in the run up to the bonfire event, on November 5 at McCain’s Sports Fields from 7pm.

Impressing the judge the most was Ellie Gavin who won first prize.

Stevie Corcoron was awarded second while Jessica Fox came third. Molly Sixsmith, Cameron Luntley and Sarah Tindall were all highly commended.
