A little bit of Christmas has arrived in Filey with the opening of the Cards for Good Causes seasonal shop at Filey Library on Station Road.

The UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation is once again decking the halls in its Filey shop, offering an array of festive cards.

The outlet is selling cards for more than 25 national charities.

Shelley Mills, area organiser said: “Our seasonal shops are a great way to prepare for Christmas while at the same time providing an important source of funding for charities. In keeping with the Christmas spirit, sending charity Christmas cards allows you to give twice – once to friends and family, and again to worthwhile causes of your choice.”

People can find the Filey shop by looking out for Cards for Good Causes’ distinctive triangular red Santa sign at the library.

In the past five years, charities have received more than £20 million from Cards for Good Causes.

The Filey seasonal shop is part of the Cards for Good Causes’ national network of over 300 shops, selling cards for around 275 charities.

It is open during library opening hours until Thursday 17 December.
