THE Scarborough branch of the Alzheimer’s Society is looking forward to a range of festive fundraising events.
The group’s annual Christmas coffee morning takes place at Park Manor Hotel, Scarborough on Wednesday December 7 from 10am till noon.
Administrator Kirstie Cunningham said: “This is one of our most popular fund-raising events. This year we have been donated a flat screen TV by Walkers and Scarborough Video Society as the top prize in the Christmas draw. We are very grateful to them. All proceeds will go towards improving local services for people with dementia.”
Entry to the coffee morning costs £2.50, which includes seasonal refreshments, donated by the hotel. There will be a festive tombola, stalls and the Mayor and Mayoress will be on hand to help with the prize draw.
Tickets can be bought from the local office or on the door.
The society will also have a stall at Scalby School Christmas Fair on Saturday December 3 and is one of the three beneficiaries from this year’s Festive Spectacular concert at the Spa on the same day.
