A Christmas fair at St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough raised £5,705 which will go towards patient care.
The popular event featured a number of stalls, with items on sale such as crafts, cards, home-made cakes, jams, chutneys, glassware and jewellery.
Carolyn Jackson, fundraising team leader, said: “It was a great day and really well attended. There was a wonderful mix of stalls and one stallholder even travelled from Sheffield as she used to live in Scarborough.
“The amount raised was fantastic and it’s up on last year. We really appreciate everyone’s support and would like to thank everyone who helped make it such a success.”
The event also featured entertainment by a pianist and Newby and Scalby School Choir.
