A company with an office based in Scarborough has been selected as ‘one of the best places to work’ for the second consecutive year.

Yell, one of the largest providers of digital marketing services in the UK, has been awarded the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice award.

Yell is now ranked at number 28 out of the top 50 companies.

There were more than 22,000 employers in the UK in the running for the awards.

Glassdoor picks the top 50 companies across all sectors and industries who receive the best reviews from their employees.

Yell has an employee base of over 1,500 employees, across four locations in the UK – Belfast, Birmingham, Reading and Scarborough, with their field sales team and digital agency of 400 employees, working from various home locations across the UK.

Richard Hanscott, chief executive officer at Yell, said: “I’m incredibly proud to hear for the second consecutive year, Yell has been selected as a winner of the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, honouring the Best Places to Work in the UK in 2017.

“To have consistent feedback from your employees and know we have a happy workplace environment is so important – at the end of the day we’re a team and spend a lot of time together. What a great endorsement as we move into a New Year.

“Yell runs a modern, agile and flexible working environment – employees can work from home, ‘hot desk’ at locations, offer job share and flexi working for certain roles. In addition, they offer a full training and development package for their employees – every employee can access digital training to fully develop their skills and progress their careers.”
