Scarborough Police are appealing for information after a laptop containing sentimental images of a man’s son was stolen in Falsgrave.

The black Samsung laptop was in a black Logitech rucksack, with an orange lining, which was taken from a wall outside a property on West Park Terrace.

The theft happened sometime between 10.45am and 11.15am on November 24, however police have just released details of the incident.

The 41-year-old local man had mistakenly left his rucksack behind before going into his flat. When he returned the bag, which also contained a Nikon D7000 camera with spare lenses and memory cards, was gone.

Scarborough PC John-Simon Coleman said: “The victim has been left very upset by this theft as his laptop contained some pictures of his young son, which hold great sentimental value for him.”
