The teenager is currently being treated for his injuries, although the current status of his condition is unknown.

The assault occurred at 8.55pm in William Street on Thursday, and a large section of the car park was taped off, along with a smaller section adjacent to it in Dean Road, as dozens of police swarmed on the area.

One of the suspects was arrested after police raided a property in Nelson Street at around 11.15pm.

Since then, the car park has been re-opened. However, a special police unit was seen scouring gardens in Aberdeen Terrace this morning in relation to the incident.

Police do not believe that this assault is connected to any other incidents in Scarborough.

Officers in Scarborough are now appealing for information about the attack.
