A SCARBOROUGH man has appeared in court facing charges of harassment, criminal damage and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
Michael Stewart Kellett, 30, of Trafalgar Square, pleaded guilty to the two assault matters, which took place at Victoria Street on March 22.
During the hearing at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court, the defendant’s solicitor, Marcus Topham, asked if the other matters could be adjourned.
He explained that he had received a letter from the complainant saying that she did not support the prosecution.
The application to adjourn was supported by the Criminal Prosecution Service.
Magistrates adjourned all matters to be dealt with together on May 16.
