Attempted murder case

A 28-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday charged with attempted murder.

Matthew Davis, of Pavilion Terrace, also faces an allegation of possessing a shotgun with intent to endanger life.

Davis did not enter a plea during Thursday’s short hearing at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court, speaking only to confirm his name, age and address.

He was remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.

The charges relate to an incident last Saturday when a 36-year-old man received a gunshot wound to the leg.
