A MAN who was convicted of a robbery in Scarborough is wanted by police.

Stephen Maurice Thomas Parker, 35, was given an 18-month prison sentence at York Crown Court in April 2010 for the offence, which he committed in 2009.

He was freed from jail early on licence, but Parker has breached the conditions of his release and failed to comply with a home detention curfew order.

Police are now keen to locate him so they can put him back behind bars.

Parker is described as being white, 6ft 1in tall with a proportionate build and blond hair.

Although his whereabouts is unknown, it is thought that Parker is either in the Scarborough or Ampleforth areas.

Anyone who has seen Parker or knows his current location is asked to contact Scarborough Police on 0845 6060247.

Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555111.
