THE search for the suspected Eastfield gunman is continuing as police carry out door-to-door searches.
North Yorkshire Police had earlier cordoned off a large section of Seamer Road in connection with the search, but this was listed just before 2pm.
The road was cordoned off between its junction with Queen Margaret’s Road and Stoney Haggs Road.
Staff and customers at Next Home in Seamer Road were asked to stay in the shop while searches were carried out but have stressed they do not believe there is a threat to the wider public.
A 36-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg during a disturbance at a home in High Garth at 5.30pm on Saturday.
