TWO suspects will appear before Scarborough magistrates this week as North Yorkshire Police continue their county-wide fight against cable thefts.
A 36-year-old man and a 15-year-old youth, both from Bridlington, were charged with theft after being arrested on suspicion of stealing cable from a mobile phone mast in Castle Howard Road, Malton.
They have also been charged with handling stolen goods following enquiries into the theft of feeder cable from a mobile phone mast in Commercial Street, Norton.
Both offences are alleged to have been committed in June.
The 36-year-old man has also been charged with driving without a licence or valid insurance.
They are due to appear before magistrates on Thursday.
