Crown court for burglary case trio

A SCARBOROUGH man and a youth have appeared in court on burglary charges.

Michael Jowett-Hall, 41, of Castle Road, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, went before Scarborough Magistrates’ Court yesterday after an incident at a property in town in December. Daniel Grimes, 22, of Columbus Ravine, also faces the same allegations, but did not appear in court. The three are charged with burglary and theft after two coats, a wallet, bank cards and keys and tobacco worth a total of £415 were taken from a home in The Glade in December. Magistrates committed the charges to York Crown Court with a hearing set for Monday April 18. Jowett-Hall and the youth were bailed until that date and ordered not to enter The Glade in the intervening period.
