A 16-year-old accused of murdering a Scarborough teenager has been remanded in custody until next month when he will be committed to Crown Court.
The youth, who cannot be identified because of his age, made another brief appearance at Scarborough Magistrates Court this afternoon.
He was unshaven and dressed scruffily, remaining expressionless as the charges were read out at the two-minute youth court hearing.
He spoke only to confirm his name and address.
In the first it is claimed he murdered Michael Graham, 19, the second is an offence of wounding a 17-year-old with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Mr Graham, known by friends as Angel, died after he was allegedly stabbed near Olympia Leisure in Foreshore Road on Saturday, April 13.
The teenager will re-appear at Scarborough Magistrates on May 28 for committal proceedings, when a date will be set for an appearance before a judge at Leeds Crown Court.
He will be remanded to youth detention accommodation until this date.
