A 21-year-old Scarborough man has been charged with drink driving and for having no car insurance after failing to stop for police.

Officers followed the Ford Fiesta to Mount View Avenue in the early hours of Sunday and the driver’s car was seized.

He will appear before magistrates on April 3.

The man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis and has been bailed for this offence while inquiries continue.
