A PROVISIONAL trial date has been set for two teenagers accused of stabbing a 61-year-old Filey man in Hope Street last month.
Grant Bishop, 19, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made their first appearance at York Crown Court on Monday.
Bishop, of no fixed abode, is charged with wounding, possessing a knife, possessing an offensive weapon and assisting an offender.
His co-accused is charged with wounding, possession of a knife and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both defendants did not enter pleas during the court hearing and were remanded in custody.
The case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing on September 26. A provisional date of December 5 was set for their trial.
