A MAN who allegedly headbutted a female police officer on Christmas Day in Scarborough has been charged.
Police were called to the man’s home address, in Albemarle Crescent, after receiving a report of a disturbance.
It is believed that furniture inside the property was being smashed.
The police officer managed to move at the last moment and although she was struck, no serious injury was caused. The man was arrested and taken into custody. He was later charged with assaulting a police officer.
He has been bailed and is due to appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court next month.
