A SCARBOROUGH man accused of a string of sex offences on a child will have his case heard in crown court.
David Kirby appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court on Friday faced with three charges of indecent assault and two of unlawful intercourse.
The 57-year-old, of St John’s Avenue, Scarborough, entered no pleas to offences, which are said to have taken place in South Tyneside in the 1990s, and his case was sent to Newcastle Crown Court.
Kirby is next due to appear at the court in Newcastle on Friday March 11.
Kirby was granted conditional bail to reside at the address given to the court and not to interfere or communicate with witnesses.
