Man arrested at Scarborough job centre

Police officers arrested a man wanted for burglary in dramatic scenes at Scarborough Job Centre this morning.

The 26-year-old was led off in handcuffs after officers, acting on a tip-off, had raced to the building on Aberdeen Walk at around 11.30am (Wednesday, November 7).

He has since been charged with the alleged theft of a bicycle on September 24 and an alleged burglary from a property on Milton Avenue on Sunday, November 4.

The man has been bailed to appear at Scarborough Magistrates Court on December 12.
