A MAN has died after his quad bike collided with a tree near Scarborough.
The 35-year-old man died after losing control of his quad bike in woodland at Settrington, off the A64 near Malton.
Police have said the man, who has not been named, lost control of the bike on the approach to a bend and collided into the tree.
He suffered head and chest injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed he was riding with two other friends who were all on separate quad bikes.
Officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident and have appealed for help from the public.
