A SCARBOROUGH man who swore at police officers outside a town centre takeaway has been fined.
Colin Lester, of Trafalgar Square, pleaded guilty at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court to be being drunk and disorderly outside Subway, in Newborough, last month.
The court heard Lester, 40, swore at police officers who had been called to deal with another incident at the restaurant.
Mitigating, Marcus Topham said: “He had the opportunity to go out for a drink with his friends. The officers refused to let him in until it has cooled down in the takeaway and there is no suggestion that he has been violent.”
Magistrates fined Lester £30 and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
