A SCARBOROUGH man suffered head and facial injuries after an assault in the town.

The 28-year-old local man was attacked in the Seamer Road and Falsgrave Road area of the town around 8.20pm on Monday, March 12.

He raced to West End Garage, in Seamer Road, for help and was rushed to Scarborough Hospital for treatment .

He was released the following day.

Scarborough police have now appealed for witnesses to come forward and help the investigation.

Det Sgt Steve Paxton, of Scarborough CID, said: “Unfortunately, the victim has little recollection of the incident, however it is believed he was attacked by two men.

“I am appealing to anyone who can help us establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident to get in touch with the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”
