Police appeal after man hit by car

Scarborough police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was knocked down and injured in Royal Albert Drive.

At around 7.30pm on Thursday 30 May, a local man in his twenties was hit by a blue Vauxhall Corsa in Royal Albert Drive which was travelling towards the Peasholm Park area of North Bay.

The man was taken to Scarborough District Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A white van was also seen travelling along Marine Drive at the same time as the blue Corsa.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and to anyone who was in Marine Drive or Royal Albert Drive on Thursday evening and saw either the blue Corsa or a white van travelling through the town in the minutes leading up to the incident, to contact them.
