VALUABLE power tools have been stolen in a burglary near Snainton.

Thieves made off with two orange and white coloured Stihl saws, a thermo quartz heater, extension cables and a transformer.

They also stole bricklayer’s tools, four rolls of blue heavy duty plastic measuring 4 metres by 25 metres and four gallons of petrol.

It occurred between 4.30pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday when thieves broke into a secure storage container.

PC Heather Standing, of Scarborough Police Station, said: “I believe that some of the stolen tools will be easily identifiable as they have labels with stickers reading either Andy Hire or FSS on them.

“I urge anyone who knows anything about this burglary or has seen any tools labelled described in unusual circumstances to contact me.”
