Scarborough Police officers are trying to track down a suspected drug dealer who may be on the run.

James Francis Drydale, aged 18, of Sandybed Crescent, is wanted on suspicion of supplying Class B drugs.

Officers have been searching for Drydale since a quantity of cannabis was found at his address during a warrant conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Act on April 26.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out in the effort to trace him and the police are now asking for the public’s assistance.

Sgt Kevin Dunn, of Scarborough Police, said: “James Drydale is well aware that we are looking for him and it will be best for all parties if he hands himself in.

“There are questions that he needs to answer and the longer he evades the police the more difficult it will be for him when we do catch up with him.

“We will continue knocking on doors in Scarborough until we find him and I am urging the public to keep an eye out and let us know if they see him.”

Anyone who can help officers with their inquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.

Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
