POLICE are appealing for an assault victim who was treated by paramedics in Scarborough to come forward.
The man was assaulted at 4am on Christmas Eve, but did not leave his name with ambulance staff or report the incident to police.
After studying CCTV footage, a 20-year-old from Filey was traced and arrested on suspicion of assault.
The victim sustained head injuries but was not taken to hospital.
The attack took place in an alleyway between Huntriss Row and Vernon Road.
The victim, anyone who knows his identity or any witnesses to the incident are urged to contact the police.
