Police plea on wanted man

POLICE in Scarborough have appealed for the public’s help to trace a wanted man.

Simon Keith Wilson, 27, of Alga Terrace, is wanted for recall to prison after breaching the terms of his release licence.

Officers believe that he may be in Harrogate, after his card was used to obtain cash from a cash dispenser in the Jennyfields area on Friday.

It is also believed that he has recently been in Wetherby.

Wilson, who was released from prison in January after being sentenced to 13 months for theft, goes by several different aliases.

He also uses the names Ian Docherty, A McDonald, Stephen Petit, Mike Sheldon, John Stevenson, Michael Strike and Ian Wilson.

Inspector Tim Hutchinson, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “Although we don’t believe that Wilson poses any danger the public, it is important that we locate him so he can be returned to prison.”
