Police search for woman who never returned from shops

POLICE are desperate to trace a Scarborough woman who told her daughter she was going to the shops and never returned.

Susan Mary Davies, 59, left her home at St Leonard’s Crescent at 2:30pm on Friday and has not been seen since.

Police have said it is completely out of charachter for Susan to leave home for so long.

PC John-Simon Coleman said: “As Susan has health issues that require medication on a daily basis I am extremely concerned for her welfare. I urge anyone who can assist in locating her to contact the police as a matter of urgency.

“Susan, if you see this appeal, please get on touch with us immediately so that we can confirm you are safe and well.”

Susan, who walks with a limp, is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, overweight and has straight brown, collar length hair.

When she was last seen Susan was wearing a black blouse, black trousers, a red duffle coat with a hood and black sandals. She may have been carrying a small brown handbag.
