Scarborough Police are appealing for the driver of blue car to contact them following a collision with a cyclist in Scalby Road.

At around 4.10pm on Monday, September 30, the cyclist was travelling along Scalby Road when a blue car, possibly an estate or people carrier turned into Stepney Grove.

Police only released the information into the incident in the last 24 hours.

The cyclist collided with the passenger side of the vehicle and sustained a shoulder injury.

Police believe there were a number of people in the area at the time, including one person who may have taken the registration number of the vehicle. Officers are appealing for this person to get in touch along with anyone else who may have witnessed the collision.

They are also urging the driver of the car to contact them.
