THREE men who have been accused of multiple counts of credit card fraud have been remanded in custody by Scarborough Magistrates as they await committal to crown court.
Adrian Diaconescu, 28, and Daniel Matai, 30, both of Plumpton Terrace, Wakefield, each face 18 offences of fraud and an additional charge of possessing an article for use in fraud.
Constantin Totilka, 19, of Croydon, faces nine charges of fraud as well as possessing an article for use in fraud. The men are said to have committed the offences using cloned credit cards in Scarborough and Bridlington on June 7. Diaconescu and Matai are alleged to have committed further offences in the Merseyside area and Chester. All three will appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on July 18, when they will be formally committed to York Crown Court.
