Teenager had stolen cheques

A TEENAGER from Scarborough has admitted to handling stolen goods.

Stacey Grace Price, 19, of Falsgrave Road, had possession of a cheque book which was stolen in a burglary, Scarborough magistrates heard.

Prosecutor Katy Varlow said Price committed the offence on August 23.

Marcus Topham, mitigating, said his client had been misled when she had taken possession of the item.

Magistrates said that Price would be sent to York Crown Court, where she also faces sentencing for more serious matters.

Price will appear for the sentencing hearing in York on January 3.

She was remanded in custody until that date.
