Three arrested after Scarborough burglary

Police in Scarborough have arrested three men in connection with an aggravated burglary.

The incident occurred at a ground floor flat on Queen’s Terrace at about midnight today (Sunday, July 28).

A window was smashed and it is alleged the suspects reached through to remove items from the flat. Further damage was also caused inside the property.

The three men made off from the scene but were arrested on Sandringham Street within minutes of the report.

They are aged 24, 22 and 21 and all from Scarborough. They remain in custody for questioning.

The occupants of the flat, who were inside at the time of the incident, are being supported by officers while inquiries continue.
