Trio charged with dealing heroin appear before judge

Three people have appeared in court charged with supplying heroin in Scarborough.

Rebecca Rushforth, 38, Neil Friar, 32, and Nathan Keith Smith, 32, appeared in the dock at York Crown Court on Monday.

Friar, of Trafalgar Square, Scarborough, admitted six counts of supplying the Class A drug between July 24 and September 12 last year.

Rushforth, of Gildercliffe, pleaded guilty to one count of supplying heroin on August 8, 2014.

Smith, of Colescliffe Road, pleaded not guilty to six counts of supplying heroin between July 31 and September 2 last year. His case was adjourned for a trial on July 13.

Rushforth and Friar will be sentenced on April 27. They were bailed until that date.
