THREE men have appeared before a court charged with offences surrounding an alleged kidnapping.
Omoruyi Ehima, 27, of Manor Drive, Pickering, Robert Ehima, 23, of Wolds View, Pockley, and Yusuf Mohamed, 18, also of Wolds View, Pockley, are charged with kidnapping a man.
The Ehimas are also charged with assaulting the alleged victim, occasioning him actual bodily harm.
The duo also face an allegation of possessing an offensive weapon - a rounders bat - on the same occasion on the A170 at Kirkbymoorside.
They all pleaded not guilty to the allegations when they appeared before York Crown Court yesterday.
Robert Ehima also denies a further charge of taking a vehicle without authority on the same day.
All charges have been adjourned for a five-day trial scheduled to begin on May 21 at the York court.
The three men were all granted conditional bail to stay away from witnesses until their trial.
