Update: Teen arrested in connection with suspected stabbing in Scarborough car park

An 18-year-old man from Scarborough has been charged with grievous bodily harm following a suspected stabbing in the town on Thursday night.

Jamie Williams, of Nelson Street, is due to appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

If follows a serious assault in William Street car park just before 9pm, which saw a 17-year-old rushed to hospital after suffering a wound to his abdomen.

A 22-year-old man, who was also arrested in connection with the incident, has been released on police bail.
