POLICE in Scarborough are appealing for information after two cars were damaged in two separate “pointless acts of vandalism”.
Witnesses are sought to the two incidents which occurred on Saturday night.
Between 4pm and 9.30pm a green Citroen Picasso was damaged while parked on Fell Close, in Scarborough.
The windscreen was smashed and the offside wing-mirror was damaged.
The cost of repair is around £350.
Also on Saturday, between 12 noon and 8.30pm, a silver Vauxhall Tigra was damaged while parked on Greylands Park Road, in Scarborough.
The rear windscreen was smashed by a brick.
A police spokesowman said: “This is a completely pointless act of vandalism which has caused a lot of inconvenience and expense to innocent members of the public.
“We are appealing for anyone who can help us identify the offenders to get in touch.”
