Woman in ‘peril’ after theft admissions

A SCARBOROUGH woman who stole whisky worth £270 and a wallet containing approximately £115 will be sentenced on Friday.

Kerry Allison, 31, of Swan Hill Road, was warned that she is in a “perilous” position by Scarborough magistrates, after they were told of her offending.

On December 1, in Ramshill Road, Allison distracted her victim by asking about a job before removing the person’s wallet from their car.

At Tesco, in Westwood, she then took three crates of Jack Daniels, each containing six bottles, and left the store without paying on December 9.

The offences, which she admitted, were committed while she was on a community order and placed her in breach of a conditional discharge.

Magistrates agreed to adjourn the case so that Allison can be represented by her regular solicitor at the sentencing hearing. She was released on conditional bail.
