Scarborough’s famous Summer Spectacular is set to draw the crowds to the coast as the popular showcase launches on Tuesday.
Topping the bill on this year’s Tony Peers’ Spectacular, sponsored by The Scarborough News, is Johnnie Casson who is sure to provide a wealth of laughter.
Johnnie came to prominence on his many appearances on the Des O’Connor chat show.
Joining him in this years’ show are Linda Newport who also directs, and returning to the Spa after a season in Greece are favourites Rebecca Christian and Paul Ludlow.
Three new faces join the cast this year Guy Mott, Naomi Fox and Kris Sheridan, who also choreographs the show.
Joining the cast are the dancers from the award-winning Hatton School of Performing Arts, who will bring excerpts from the Wizard of Oz and Oliver.
The second show this year is Thoroughly Modern Musicals featuring the six star vocalists from Summer Spectacular. Amongst the non-stop parade of songs from the musicals is excerpts from Chicago, Evita, Cabaret, Grease and Les Miserables, sparkling costumes and scenery make this a not to be missed show.
Brand new for this year in addition to the evening shows on Monday, Thursday and Friday will be matinee performances on a Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm of Thoroughly Modern Musicals.
