Dancers take to the stage for Musical Showcase

A Scarborough dance school is hoping to boost its costume fund by staging a musical spectacular featuring more than 120 pupils.

The Anne Taylor School of Dance is presents Musical Showcase at the YMCA Theatre, in St Thomas Street on Saturday 8 at 7pm and Sunday 9 September at 2pm.

Anne Taylor, principal of the school said: “It is a wonderful show, with fantastic, colourful costumes and talented singers and dancers who will perform songs from Shrek, Bugsy Malone, Grease, and a spectacular Copacabana Finalé.

“More than 120 pupils will be taking part, from age three to adult, and they will be joined by former pupil Jordan Langford, as Special Guest Singer.

“Jordan is currently in his third year at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, where he is studying Musical Theatre.”
