A CHARITY cupcake sale of over 200 ‘Valentine’ cupcakes took place at Scalby School and Northstead Community Primary School.
David Sessions baked the 230 cakes at his home during the weekend prior to their sale at school on Monday.
David was delighted to raise £300 through the sale of the cakes and all proceeds will go to Ellie’s Fund.
Ellie’s Fund is a registered charity set up after Scalby School student Ellie Othick-Bowmaker lost her life, aged 14, on Valentine’s Day last year after a three-year fight against brain tumours.
The fund aims to help families of children with brain tumours and other cancers.
David is studying Catering and Food Technology at Scalby School.
He said: “Baking and decorating this quantity of cakes is a good experience and it’s rewarding to know that I have been able to make a contribution to such a worthy cause.”
David would like to thank his friends, family and Scalby School for their support and everyone who bought a cake or two. He hopes you enjoyed them!
