WOMEN in Scarborough are being urged to grab their last chance to enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life with just days to go until registration closes for the event in North Bay.
More than 700 women have already joined the fight against all cancers by entering the 5K women-only event on Sunday, May 13.
Entry closes on Thursday May 10 and organisers are encouraging mums, daughters, grannies, sisters, friends and workmates who want to take part to enter as soon as possible at www.raceforlife.org
Race for Life is non-competitive. Women can choose whether to walk, jog or run the 5K route. Most are able to walk 5K in an hour. All women are welcome, regardless of whether they are taking part on their own or as part of a group.
Peter Foster, marketing manager for Race for Life in the North, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that so many women have entered Race for Life in Scarborough. Together, they will help us create a fantastic atmosphere on the day and raise crucial funds to help beat cancer.
“We don’t want anyone to miss out. We still have places left for the Scarborough event but we are reminding women who want to take part at this venue that they must enter as soon as possible, before registration closes.
“The battle against cancer never stops so we need you to sign up now and start raising money for ground-breaking research to help save more lives.”
