Dementia roadshow in town

THE Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Community Roadshow is visiting Scarborough today and tomorrow.

The vehicle, which is being funded by Tesco, will be at the Tesco store on Westwood for two days between 10am and 4pm on both days.

People who are currently living with dementia, are worried about a friend or relative’s memory, or just have questions about the condition, are encouraged to drop by with no appointment necessary.

Nicki Dyson, area manager in the region for Alzheimer’s Society, said: “The roadshow helps us reach out to communities, tackle stigma by raising awareness of the condition and speak to people who are worried about their memory, one to one and encourage them to visit their GP.”
