A SCARBOROUGH landlady is over the moon after a fundraiser at her pub raised £1,316 for Ellie’s Fund.

Heidi Dickinson organised “Duchfest”, which took place at the Duchess in Hovingham Drive and featured live music, children’s games, face painting, Zumba, stalls and food.

She said: “I can’t thank the staff and volunteers enough for their help and hard work in making the whole day a huge success.

“A special thanks to all the bands, Dave Marshall, Wayne Thompson-Mills (Mr Zumba), The Black Lion Dance and Music Company, hair braider and Sandra Moseley the face painter, who gave up their time to play and entertain the crowds.

“Thanks also to all the people and local businesses who donated raffle and tombola prizes, Yorkshire Foods for donating the burgers and sausages for the BBQ, North Sea Winches for the BBQ Steel and Seamer Pre-School for lending us the tables and tombolas.”

Heidi is now looking for a local company to be the key sponsor for Duchfest 2012.
