SCARBOROUGH toddlers found an added bonus with their brightly decorated Easter bonnets during the recent warm spell because they were the ideal protection from the sun’s rays.
They wore their seasonal headgear at the recent Easter party for two childminding groups – Little Busybodies and Puddleducks – in the Eastfield area.
Elaine Bodman, from Little Busybodies, said they had found they made good sunhats while they were outside having fun.
She added: “They enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and chocolate Easter cakes. Next week we have got the older ones – this was for the pre-school children.
“They had a lovely time and I think their favourite was when they did the Easter egg hunt in the garden. They were in their element.”
