STUDENTS from a Scarborough were all in harmony to reign victorious in a singing challenge.

The choir members from St Augustine’s School took part in Eskdale Festival and romped home in six categories.

The school’s junior, senior and chambers choirs - comprising 120 students - all took part against schools from across the borough and claimed a clean sweep of prizes with some of the highest marks.

Teacher Oliver Barron said: “The choirs were praised by the adjudicator who praised the choirs for how professional they sounded and performed.

“The pupils were so happy to win all of the categories competing against schools from Scarborough and Whitby.

“I am again so proud of the pupils in how they love to perform and really put on a show everytime they sing.

“Teaching the choirs is the highlight of my job at the school.”
