STUDENTS at a Scarborough school have another string to their bow after making their own electric guitars.

The Year 11 pupils from The Alternate Learning Suite at Brompton Hall School had to decide who their client was and then to design and manufacture an electric guitar made out of wood for their chosen client.

Each of the boys then had their creations evaluated by Phil Booth, owner of Guitar Galleries in Bar Street.

Teacher-in-charge of the Alternate Learning Suite, Shirley Mihkelson, said “I am very grateful to Phil for giving up his time and for being so encouraging to the boys.”
