YOUNGSTERS at a Scarborough nursery have been showing off their acting talents by performing an outdoor play.
Children aged between 2-5 at the Bairnswood Nursery in Newby performed a play entitled ‘Caterpillar Boogie’ in front of around 75 onlooking parents and family.
The play’s about a caterpillar as it changes into a butterfly, and nursery co-manager Miss Martin said the youngsters learned a lot from the experience.
“They’d been learning about gardening and nature, so this was a chance to show off what they had learned.
“They all had a really fun time performing the play, and it was great seeing so many people turn up to watch.”
The play was followed by a sports day, where children took part in a variety of different sports and games, which included races, throwing and obstacle courses.
