STAFF and pupils are at the top of the class after being given a good Ofsted report in a recent inspection.
Continuum School – which is in Cayton Low Road and was formerly known as Farrow House Educational Centre – was given a good rating in all areas and inspectors praised good teaching and the children’s behaviour children.
Headteacher Anne Wood said the feedback had been very positive. She said: “I think it reflects the hard work the staff and students have put in. They thought the behaviour of the children was good – the general positiveness of the report reflected our hard work.”
She added there was also a strong emphasis on how the school prepared its students for adult life and said: “I think that is particularly important for our children. We are very pleased. “
Areas which were identified which could improve standards even further included: to use knowledge to add more challenges to lessons and to understand more about the diverse religions and cultures in modern Britain.
