YOUNGSTERS from a Scarborough school have been travelling through time as part of a special classroom topic.
The Wheatcroft School pupils have been studying various eras such as the Victorian period, World War II, the 1960s and the 1990s.
They have also visited the Rotunda and Scarborough Art Gallery as part of their studies.
The pupils have also put together a show called “Travelling Through Time” which was performed in front of parents yesterday afternoon.
It featured old-time songs and some pupils dressed up as the Beatles and the Spice Girls. The show centred around two children who travel through time in a tardis.
Bridget Marshall, key stage one leader, said: “They’ve loved it – it has made learning fun.
“The children have enjoyed it all and particularly liked looking at Victorian schools and doing role plays.
“They have worked very hard on the production, which is the conclusion of this topic and celebrates everything they’ve learnt.
“It has been great and has really brought learning to life.”
The children are pictured at the dress rehearsal of their show.
